Postgraduate scholarships in climate change

By Seniorl Anzu

Applications are now open for 2012 postgraduate studies in climate change at the University of South Pacific (USP) in Fiji. Interested citizens from Pacific island countries are invited to apply for Postgraduate Diploma, Masters or PhD in climate change.

The scholarships are offered through USP’s Pacific Centre for Environment & Sustainable Development (PACE-SD) under its European Union funded Project and Future Climate Leaders Project. The studies are on full-time basis and based at USP’s Laucala Campus.

The scholarship packages cover tuition fees, return airfares from home country (if outside Fiji), living allowance, dependents allowance, and research costs (for masters and PhD scholars).

Preliminary academic inquiries can be made with the Director of the Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development on email: lal_m@usp.ac.fj or see http://www.usp.ac.fj/ pace. Application forms for all programmes (PG Dip, MSc, PhD in Climate Change) can be downloaded from www.usp.ac.fj/student.

Applications close on December 12, 2011.
