EVENTS: Visit the ICCB 2011 web site (www.conbio.org/2011) for information about the meeting, including a full listing of workshops and short courses, student activities, field excursions, and social events. Information pertaining to the first International Marine Conservation Think Tank, which will include 14 different focus groups highlighting issues from deep-sea coral research, to fisheries management and global biodiversity assessments, is also available on the site.
TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATIONS: Before booking your travel, check out the “Travel” section of the ICCB web site. Air New Zealand is now offering conference attendees special round trip fares for flights to New Zealand, with flights departing from Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver.
A listing of area accommodations is also available on the site. The SkyCity Convention Centre and Auckland City Hotel are offering reduced rates for meeting attendees, and dormitory housing is available through the University of Auckland.
